Two face court over garden murder

12 April 2012

Two men will appear in court charged with murdering a 20-year-old student found stabbed to death in a garden.

Luke Desmond Campbell, known as Luka to friends, was found in the yard of a semi-detached house in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, Dorset after 10am last Saturday.

On Friday night Dorset Police charged Larbi Nordin Mohamed, 20, and Saeed Alkadir, 21, both from London, with murder.

The pair will appear before Bournemouth Magistrates Court.

Mr Campbell was two months into his first year of a BSc (Hons) degree in software systems at Bournemouth University.

Paying tribute to him, his mother Hazel and sister Raana said he was "loving" and did not "deserve to have his life taken away".

His mother said: "He was the most loving, thoughtful, protective and loyal son a mother could ever wish for. Luke always put others before himself and would help anyone in need."

Mr Campbell, from St John's Road in Boscombe, was found in a communal garden of a semi-detached house which has been converted into several flats, and backs on to the railway.

A post-mortem examination found he died of a stab wound to the chest.
