Three admit clay pit death charges

Three men have pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the death of a 16-year-old boy who drowned in a water-filled clay pit.

The body of Shane Owoo was recovered from Lunt Pool in Bilston, West Midlands, on September 30 last year after reports that he had been involved in what police described as an altercation with three men.

Tobias Davies, 21, pleaded guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, Christopher Lewis, 22, and Marvin Walker, 21, both admitted manslaughter at Birmingham Crown Court.
