South Circular crash: Lidl lorry overturns at Tulse Hill gyratory

Emergency services were called to a busy section of the South Circular on Friday morning after a Lidl lorry overturned at the Tulse Hill gyratory.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were sent to the A205 South Circular, between Christchurch Road and Norwood Road, shortly before 11am.

The driver of the lorry, which has been confirmed as a Lidl delivery vehicle, suffered minor injuries.

A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said: "Police were called at 10:50am on Friday, March 25 to reports of an overturned lorry close to Tulse Hill railway station.

"Officers, the London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service are in attendance.

"The male driver, believed to be aged in his mid 40s, was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

"Road closures remain in place."

Traffic reports state congestion has stretched back to the A2199 Croxted Road in West Dulwich.

A Lidl spokeswoman said: "We can confirm that we were notified by our haulier company that a lorry had overturned on the South Circular this morning. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident."
