Scafell Pike: Man's body found in hunt for missing Lake District walker Dawid Kancyr

Rescuers hunting for a walker who went missing near to the foot of the highest mountain in England have found a body.

Dawid Kancyr, 28, a Polish national who lived in Warwickshire, was last seen at 4.30pm on Saturday.

He was reported to have been last spotted at the foot of Scafell Pike, which is located in the Lake District.

On Monday, police confirmed a man’s body had been found, the BBC reported.

A formal identification is yet to take place but police are not treating his death as suspicious.

It is thought Mr Kancyr was alone at the time.
