Heavy rain and further delays in play could not dampen the enthusiasm of golf fans at the Ryder Cup.
The tournament lost more than seven hours on Friday when torrential rain made the course unplayable and the fourball and foursome matches which were due to resume at 7.45am on Sunday were delayed until 1.30pm after more heavy downpours.
The singles matches, which organisers hoped would be completed by Sunday evening, are now due to start at 9.05am on Monday.
After 15.4mm of rain fell on the course overnight, golf fans were not allowed into the Celtic Manor resort until 11am but most managed to maintain their good humour.
Jason Halliwell, 39, and Kristen Stevenson, 30, from Leeds, said they were making the most of the wait by heading to the bar.
Mr Halliwell said: "We're only here for the day and we have had typical Great British weather. We came from Leeds this morning and we are still having a good day, despite the rain.
"We can't come back tomorrow but will still get a good few hours of golf in this afternoon."
Mike Norris, 48, from London, said the weather was a disappointing way to end the tournament.
"We were here yesterday and it was brilliant, we had friends here too and we watched a lot of golf.
"We will be shopping, eating and drinking until it gets under way again."
