Prince Harry reportedly made a 1,700 mile detour to Canada on his way back from a tour of the Caribbean - to spend time with girlfriend Meghan Markle.

The Prince was originally due to fly to London from Barbados on Sunday but took a diverted route to stop off and see the American actress, The Sun reported.

According to the newspaper, the pair spent Monday at the 35-year-old’s home in Toronto.

A source told the paper: “He was due to fly back to London on a British Airways flight with the rest of his entourage.

“But he changed his mind and diverted straight to see her as they couldn’t bear to be apart.

“He is absolutely besotted. We’ve never seen him so happy – it’s great.”

Harry, 32, has spent the last three weeks visiting seven Caribbean Islands as part of an official tour.
