Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shared photos of them meeting children from around the globe as their fans desperately await news of the royal baby.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex marked the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth by posting the eight-photo gallery, which shows them embracing and posing with children of all nationalities.

The first photo captures the heartwarming moment Prince Harry hugged five-year-old Luke Vincent during the couple’s 2018 tour of Australia.

Others include a snap of the mother-to-be speaking to Union Jack-waving fans, and of the prince smiling with a group of Tongan youths.

“Today marks the 70th anniversary of the modern Commonwealth - a family of 53 countries working together to promote democracy, protect human rights, regenerate the environment, and focus not on what makes us different - but rather what we have in ‘common’. What unites us versus what divides us”, began the caption on the royals official Instagram account.

“Through The Duke and Duchess’ Commonwealth travels, they have worked with and supported young leaders on mobilizing youth engagement, and working towards a more unified future that spearheads progress, sustainability, optimism, and taking action.”

Social media users appeared more interested in commenting on the couples’ personal future.

“You know you’re making us jump every time you post!!” wrote one fan, followed by emojis of a baby and a bottle.

While another joked: “Great post but nearly gave me heart failure as my alerts on for baby news.”

Others, asked followers to focus on the post’s broader message: “Calm down with the baby fever... this post is actually about tragic events in Mozambique,” wrote one Instagrammer.

The comment refers to the final section of the royal pair’s caption, which reads: “Mozambique, a member state of the Commonwealth, is currently enduring Cyclone Kenneth, the most destructive natural disaster the northern coast has ever experienced.

“On the heels of Cyclone Idai (where over 1000 people lost their lives) this cyclone will leave the people of Mozambique victim to catastrophic flooding, food insecurity, displacement, and obliteration of their homes and villages. If you’d like to help, please visit DEC.org.uk.”
