Potter actor murder jury to retire

12 April 2012

Jurors trying a man accused of murdering Harry Potter actor Rob Knox are expected to be sent out to consider their verdicts.

Karl Bishop, 21, stabbed Knox five times outside the Metro bar in Sidcup, south east London, in May last year.

Prosecutors allege he killed the 18-year-old and lashed out at five other youths in an act of revenge, but he claims he was under attack and had no other option.

Bishop, of Beaver Lodge, Carlton Road, Sidcup, denies murder and five charges of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm at the Old Bailey.
