Pet show for British Airways' long-haul passengers

Stressed-out passengers on British Airways' long-haul flights will soon be able to unwind by watching cute dogs and cats at play.

The airline is launching an in-flight entertainment channel called Paws & Relax, which will feature videos of pets as well as cartoons.

British Airways in-flight entertainment manager Richard D'Cruze said: "It might sound barking, but there's lots of research to suggest that watching pets can enhance overall wellbeing."

The programming initiative is aimed to sooth and entertain children who can become disruptive from the strain of long distance travelling, but the programmes could be just as enjoyable for adults, a BA spokesperson said.

In July, British Airways launched another set of programmes called “Slow TV.” The video showed tranquil images along a seven-hour Norwegian train journey from Oslo to Bergen.
