Man faces court over woman's murder

12 April 2012

A man is due to appear in court charged with battering a woman to death in her flat.

The body of 36-year-old Gabrielle King was discovered at Heronfield, Englefield Green, Surrey, on Thursday.

Unemployed David Angel, 44, has been charged with murder and will face magistrates in Woking.

A special post-mortem examination carried out at the Royal Surrey County Hospital on Friday revealed that the cause of Ms King's death was "blunt force injuries" to the head.

Angel, also from Englefield Green, had been arrested at 11pm on Thursday and had been interviewed by officers from Surrey Police's Major Crime Investigation Team.
