A man has been caught on camera brutally kicking a dog against a wall in a Lancashire street.

The man, who was wearing a long, dark coat, was walking the animal down an Accrington street when he kicks the animal several times, slamming it into a wall.

A witness said he kicked the brown and white bull breed dog with some force, crushing it against the ground, before casually strolling off again with the animal in tow.

The incident, which happened on Easter Monday, March 28, was captured on a driver's dashcam, as they passed the Fairfield Street and Exchange Street junction, at about 5pm.

RSPCA inspector Charlotte Booker said the organisation was very concerned for the animal's welfare.

She said: "We want to find this dog to check on his welfare.

“The footage we have been passed shows the dog being walked down a street by the man.

"He pauses and is seen kicking the dog repeatedly against a wall, before continuing to walk with the dog down the street.

“The witnesses say that the dog was kicked with considerable force, and crushed into the ground with the man’s foot.

“Naturally we are extremely concerned about this dog and want to hear from anyone who can help us to find him.

“If you have any information please call the RSPCA inspector appeal line on 0300 123 8018 as soon as possible.”

The attacker has been described by witnesses as a tall Asian man with facial hair.
