London Live has been given a good luck message from Culture Minister Ed Vaizey as excitement builds ahead of its launch on Monday.

The channel is set to be the first 24/7 general entertainment network devoted to the capital when it goes on air.

Mr Vaizey said: "I'm sure London Live will be a major success and will be welcomed by all Londoners.

"It's going to provide some amazing programming and I wish you all very well," he added.

Monday will also see the Standard publish an exclusive interview with Mr Vaizey, available in the paper and here on our website.
