The Fantastic Beasts actor, who also starred in the musical film Sunshine on Leith and Netflix series The English Game, had denied the charge.
Jurors at Glasgow Sheriff Court were told that his DNA was found inside the woman’s underwear and that she thought her drink had been spiked elsewhere.
But Guthrie, 33 told the court he had only “helped” the woman, 29, after she fell ill, according to a BBC report.
Guthrie was found guilty after a four-day trial. He was jailed for three years and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.
Sheriff Tom Hughes told the actor: “The offence you have been convicted of caused distress and consequences to the young woman involved in this case. She was unwell and thought her drink had been spiked elsewhere that night.
“The jury accepted that you committed these heinous crimes and the only appropriate sentence is imprisonment.”
The attack happened in September 2017 at the flat of Scott Reid, a fellow actor best known for his role as Methadone Mick in BBC’s Still Game.
On the night of the attack, the woman had been planning to meet the men at a bar in Glasgow.
But Mr Reid received a call from a taxi driver to collect her as she appeared unwell.
He and Guthrie put the woman on a bed after helping her into the Glasgow pad in Kelvindale.
Mr Reid called NHS 24 and left Guthrie in the room “to make sure she was OK”, the court heard.
However, she was groped by Guthrie before he performed a sex act on her.
The woman told the court: “I remember my top being lifted up and my bra being held down.”
Guthrie carried out a further two sexual acts and kissed her on the mouth and stopped when Mr Reid entered the room, jurors were told.
