The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge embarked on a busy week's work yesterday afternoon with a visit to London's Middle Temple to launch a scholarship for disadvantaged students which has been set up in their name.

After the couple's stunningly successful whirlwind Jubilee tour of the South Pacific last month, it was no surprise that she looked a dab hand at the art of royal visiting.

In keeping with the weather, she wore a flared burgundy mini skirt with matching jacket by designer Paule Ka, dark tights and black swuede heeled pumps. Paule Ka is a ready to wear brand created in 1988 by Serge Cajfinger.

The couple met the two first recipients of the scholarship set up in their name with funds from the Temple to mark the royal couple's marriage last year.

Today William and Kate will meet Roy Hodgson as they visit the new England football training ground in Burton-on-Trent, and on Wednesday Kate will continue with the tour of the North-East alone while William goes to the funeral of his former nanny.
