ISIS claims responsibility for Parsons Green terror attack

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility for the terror attack on a Tube train in west London.

The attack, which sent a 'fireball' hurtling through a Tube train carriage, left 29 people injured, some with serious burns.

It is thought the improvised device which was left on the District Line train failed to properly detonate. Explosives experts said the device could have killed dozens of people had it gone off in the manner intended.

This evening ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, the militant group's Amaq news agency said.
