A hugh search was called by Cheshire Police after a 10-year-old schoolboy was last seen riding away from an address on his bike on Monday night.

Police were growing “increasingly concerned” after Lewis Edwards was last seen at about 7.30pm last night after leaving Styal Road, in Cheshire.

Local residents were urged to check their gardens and outbuildings in case he stayed there overnight.

The youngster was later found by officers on Tuesday afternoon.

A statement from Cheshire Police read: "We are pleased to report that the 10-year-old boy who was missing from the Wilmslow area has been found safe and well.

"A big thank you to everyone that shared our appeal and to all those who offered their help and support."
