Headspace has teamed up with Lucasfilm to create mindfulness content for Star Wars fans, to help them focus like a Jedi–and get a good night’s sleep.

The meditation app has launched breathing exercises and sleepcasts based on the space-opera phenomenon in honour of May the 4th, which is known by fans around the world as Star Wars Day.

What better way to take a breather after a Star Wars movie marathon than with a guided breathing exercise led by Chewbacca? Or extend your Star Wars celebrations into bedtime by mentally exploring Tatooine or Ahch-To as you drift off to sleep.

Find out everything you need to know about Headspace’s collaboration with Star Wars below.

“Space to Breathe” breathing exercises

Headspace’s Star Wars breathing exercises encourage people to “turn inward and focus on breathing to help centre users in the moment to reduce stress and motivate greater concentration,” with the help of a few beloved characters.

The four breathing exercises, led by Yoda, R2-D2, Chewbacca, and BB-8, feature playful animation, plus music and sound effects, and last for one-minute.

Sleepcasts: A Restful Galaxy

Headspace is also releasing three 45-minute sleepcasts that will “mentally transport listeners to the Star Wars galaxy,” using immersive 360-audio and rich, intimate detail.

Star Wars fans can mentally tour the Star Wars galaxy in an X-wing that transports listeners to different planets. Or, explore the desert planet Tatooine, from the dune sea to the moisture farms.

Finally, sleepcast listeners will also be able to take an audio tour of the very first Jedi Temple on Ahch-To, where they’ll hear porgs in their natural habitat.

New headspace users can access this Star Wars content for free for 30 days by signing up to a trial at https://www.headspace.com/starwars.
