Hamble crash: Teenage girl named as victim after car crashes into tree in Hampshire

A teenager has died after the car she was travelling in crashed into a tree in a seaside town.

The 18-year-old victim has been named as Abbie O'Rourke, from Netley Abbey in Hampshire.

She was killed in the crash which happened in Hamble on Thursday.

A Hampshire Police spokesman said that the 18-year-old was a passenger in a silver Toyota Aygo which was the only vehicle involved in the accident in School Lane.

The force spokesman said: "Two further passengers and the driver suffered injuries in the crash and were taken to hospital.

"Investigations into the exact circumstances of the collision are ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the silver Aygo in the Hamble area prior to the incident."
