Goodie bags handed to members of the public who attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank have already appeared on auction site Ebay with bids reaching over £700.

The bags were a gift to 1,200 members of the public including charity workers and royal household staff who were invited to stand outside St George’s Chapel to watch the royals and other guests arrive.

At least three are now on the auction site with one of the bags already being watched by 40 people with a current price of £700.

The printed bag contains a commemorative giant coin, Windsor Castle canned spring water, a royal wedding fridge magnet, a poncho and a marriage order of service.

The bag itself is printed with the date of the wedding and the couple’s initials.

Several of the bags handed to members of the public have been put up for sale on Ebay

One of the listings on the auction site reads: “Here is your chance to buy your very own piece of world history and memorabilia to celebrate a momentous day for the British Royal Family, Great Britain and the World.”

The wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle came five months after the bride’s cousin Prince Harry married Meghan Markle in the same venue.

Mr Brooksbank, 32, a drinks executive who was previously manager of the Mayfair nightclub Mahiki, has been the princess’s boyfriend since they met in the Swiss ski resort of Verbier nearly eight years ago.

Once the ceremony was over, the couple followed the example of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and rode through the streets of Windsor in a carriage.

The nuptials were being followed by a post-wedding lunch hosted by the Queen and a black-tie reception this evening at Royal Lodge, the mansion in Windsor Great Park belonging to Prince Andrew.

Tomorrow there will be a festival and funfair themed “day two” party with dodgems and funfair rids, also at Royal Lodge, and reportedly organised by the Beckhams’ wedding party planner, Peregrine Armstrong-Jones.
