Two brothers and their best friend who started their own firm offering an alternative to “boring” phone accessories have earned a £120,000 cash injection on Dragons’ Den.

James and Richard Gold, aged 25 and 23, and business partner Lewis Blitz, 25, from Golders Green, survived a gruelling two-hour pitch to secure the funding from entrepreneur Peter Jones.

They featured in the first show of the new series on BBC2 last night. Their firm Skinnydip, based in Wembley, sells “creative, colourful and fun” tech accessories including phone cases, headphones and speakers.

It launched last year when the trio won a bulk order of their products from Debenhams.

Mr Jones, who bought a 30 per cent stake in the firm, said: “The other dragons and I were really impressed.

"They’re looking at the tech accessory market in a completely fresh way with the accent on design and fashionable fun.”
