David Cameron's car backs into another while driving off for Autumn Statement

25 November 2015

David Cameron’s day got off to a bumpy start this morning when his official car reversed into another vehicle just as the Prime Minister was setting off to hear the Chancellor’s Autumn Statement.

Mr Cameron’s silver Jaguar was parked outside No 10 Downing Street when its driver decided to back it up, only to hear a foreboding crunch moments later.

He then pulled forward to reveal a scratch on both the Prime Minister’s car and the silver Land Rover Discovery, also an official vehicle, parked behind it.

The driver declined to get out and take a look at the damage, as amused police officers looked on.
