Eight people, including five children, have been rescued from a cliff after they became cut off by the incoming tide.
The group were at Brean Down, near Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset, when they were forced to climb the cliffs to escape the approaching water and became stuck.
The alarm was raised by a member of the group at 7.15pm on Saturday.
Swansea Coastguard sent a rescue helicopter from RAF Chivenor, in Devon, the Burnham-On-Sea coastguard rescue team and two RNLI lifeboats to rescue the group.
About half an hour after the initial call, the team located the stranded group and all eight were winched on board the rescue helicopter.
Three adults and all five children were taken to a nearby field, where they were met by the coastguard rescue team.
Swansea Coastguard watch manager David Hughes said: "If you are going out for a walk along the coast always prepare by checking the tide times and wearing appropriate clothing and footwear.
"If you find yourself in difficulty, always dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard."
