Celebs Go Dating star Wayne Lineker has hinted he's no longer single.

The 58-year-old businessman and media personality is taking part in the E4 dating show - and has seemingly revealed he's now a taken man.

Launching on Monday, the latest series of the show sees celebrities move into a mansion together in a bid to find love. This is so the group could form a bubble, making filming Covid safe.

Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on ITV’s This Morning, Lineker dropped a hint he’d found love. "I was looking for a relationship - well I was before the show - let's see what happens on that..." he said.

Whether he met a new woman on the show or after filming finishes remains a mystery.

Last year, the star, whose brother is Gary Lineker, shared a list of what he would require in a partner.

“My family have decided I need a girlfriend for my own sanity and health,” he wrote on an Instagram.

The list included “liking older men but only me”, being “[aged] above 30 (OK 28 29 could work) but not my age as that would just look weird” and “prepared to give up your career or job or at least be able to work from a laptop on a tropical beach somewhere”.

In addition to Lineker, the celebrities taking part include Curtis Pritchard, Sophie Hermann,  Chloe Ferry and Tom Zanetti.

Meanwhile, co-star Pritchard was left red-faced after he accidentally revealing he's still single after an evidently failed stint on the show.

The 24-year-old star and his brother AJ appeared on Lorraine on Monday.

When asked about Celebs Go Dating by the host, Curtis replied: "I don't normally watch myself back on TV but I can not wait to watch this tonight.

“There's so many embarrassing moments and so many good moments as well.”

He continued: “I am looking for love, I'm single so…"

Realising what he'd given away the outcome of the show, he added: "Well actually… I'm not going to say that…

"I've just given that away."

The show began in 2016. Comedian Rob Beckett does the voiceover.

The likes of Towie stars Joey Essex, Ferne McCann and James “Arg” Argent, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter and Outnumbered star Tyger Drew-Honey have appeared on previous series of the show.

The series is produced by Lime Pictures, the production company behind Hollyoaks and The Only Way Is Essex.

Celebs Go Dating kicks off tonight [25 January] at 9pm on E4.
