12 April 2012

An American woman has been indicted on charges of killing two adopted daughters and storing their bodies in her freezer.

US State Attorney John McCarthy said 43-year-old Renee Bowman, of Maryland, will face murder and child abuse charges over the deaths of the two girls and alleged abuse of her surviving daughter.

The case began in September 2008 when Bowman's seven-year-old daughter jumped out a window and was found in their neighbourhood.

The girls were adopted in Washington. Bowman allegedly continued collecting payments from an agency after their deaths.
