AJ Pritchard’s girlfriend has warned fans to be careful copying YouTube videos after she suffered burns trying a stunt.

Pro dancer Abbie Quinnen, 23, was left with third-degree burns and needing three skin grafts after trying to split a wine bottle in half with fire.

The influencer took to Instagram to thank NHSdoctors in Chelsea & Westminster burns unit where seven weeks after the accident.

She said: “I am sad I have been absent in the last few weeks and haven’t posted much with AJ, we so desperately wanted to be able to share daily vlogs with you all but unfortunately I have had an accident.

“Whilst we were attempting to create a glass bottle into a vase following a YouTube tutorial it went terribly wrong and it resulted in me incurring injuries and burns requiring continuous hospital treatment over the past seven weeks.

“I really need you all to be careful with what you’re doing and if you’re copying any YouTube videos. I will be OK, I love you all.

“I also want to say a massive thank you to the nurses and doctors and the Chelsea & Westminster burns unit for their incredible care and treatment.”

Ms Quinnen was filming a “life hack” with her Strictly Come Dancing star boyfriend on January 19, when the accident happened.

She was attempting to show how a glass bottle could be cut in half and used as a vase.

The stunt involved dipping a rope into a flammable chemical, wrapping it around the bottle and lighting a flame.

But the wine bottle exploded and Ms Quinnen’s upper body was engulfed in flames.

Mr Pritchard’s brother and Love Island star, Curtis, who lives with the couple, drove them to Ealing Hospital after 999 operators said that paramedics could take time to reach their apartment.

Ms Quinnen was admitted to intensive care before she was transferred to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital’s specialist burns unit on January 20.

Since the incident, the source said Ms Quinnen had made 20 hospital visits and needed three skin grafts.

Mr Pritchard, who has taken on the role as her full-time carer, is said to be devastated.
