M25 delays: Overturned lorry on motorway slip road sparks rush hour chaos

Sebastian Mann10 August 2016

An overturned lorry on an M25 slip road has sparked major rush hour delays.

Firefighters were called to the east to northbound slip road from the M40 to the London orbital motorway shortly before 5pm.

Crews were this evening working to free a person trapped in the lorry's cab, a spokesman for Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

He said up to 15 firefighters were on scene handling the rescue effort.

The crash has caused tailbacks with Transport for London warning drivers to avoid the route, which was closed by emergency services.

A London Fire Brigade spokesman said their crews had also been sent to the incident near the M25's junction 16.
