Commuters faced severe disruption on London’s Tube network during Friday evening's rush-hour as officials continued to investigate the explosion at Parsons Green.
Scores of police officers remained at the Tube station into the evening, scouring the scene of the suspected terror attack as homes around the area were evacuated.
The District Line was suspended between Earl’s Court and Wimbledon until the end of the day and the rest of the line was experiencing severe delays, Transport for London (TfL) said.
London Overground services, the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Piccadilly lines were also suffering delays on Friday afternoon, though a TfL spokeswoman told the Standard the delays were unrelated to this morning’s incident and may clear.
Normal service has resumed between Milton Keynes and Euston after it was closed due to huge trackside fire that broke out overnight.

TfL advised commuters to check before making their journey, with delays expected into the evening.
A spokeswoman said just before 4pm that it was not known when police officers will finish their investigations, while the Met was unable to comment.
Twenty-two people were treated for injuries after an “improvised explosive device” was set off at Parsons Green station on a packed train at rush hour.
A terror probe has been launched and a manhunt underway, Scotland Yard said.
