If you’ve ever wanted to take part in a reading of My Dad Wrote a Porno or pick your favourite dishes for Off Menu, then now is your chance.

Podcast company Acast is teaming up with Comic Relief for a new fundraising campaign to raise money for vulnerable people affected by coronavirus. Named GuestFest, listeners can enter a prize draw to win a spot on a selection of hit podcasts.

The selected podcast spots up for grabs include My Dad Wrote a Porno, Off Menu with James Acaster and Ed Gamble, Private Parts with Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and Francis Boulle, Angela Scanlon’s Thanks a Million, White Wine Question Time with Katie Thornton or true crime series RedHanded.

Speaking about the campaign, Acast’s UK content director Sam Shetabi said: “How many times have you been listening to your favourite podcast and thought ‘I would totally nail these questions!’

“We’re sure many of us have our Off Menu dream menu ready to go, or our Belinda Blumenthal puns up our sleeves.”

The six winners will have the opportunity to be a guest on their favourite podcast, either on the main platform or associated channels. There is an option to add a £10 donation along with your entry but there's no actual cost to enter and there’s no limit to how many times you’re allowed to enter also. However, it is part of a fundraising campaign so if you can donate, then keep that in mind.

Entries will close on August 2, and the winners will be selected by random.

Unfortunately, given the pandemic, the guest appearances will take place remotely so you won’t be able to hang out in the studio physically with your fave hosts. But being featured on your number one pod is certainly a memory to cherish, and all the funds raised will go to charity.

“Throughout lockdown we’ve seen just how important podcasts are as a means of lifting spirits and bringing people together which is why we’re delighted to be sharing the GuestFest prize,” said Louisa McGinn, head of public fundraising at Comic Relief. “The money raised by GuestFest will go to charities that urgently need support to respond to the impact of the coronavirus crisis, here in the UK and around the world.”

To enter, head to comicrelief.com/guestfest and find your favourite podcast to make an entry.
