Endurance swimmer and environmental campaigner Lewis Pugh is preparing for his latest swim: covering the length of the Hudson River through New York State.

He’ll become the first person to complete an unassisted swim along the whole river, a 315 mile journey that he’s expecting will take 30 days to complete.

Lewis tells Tech & Science Daily he wants to highlight the importance of protecting the world’s rivers from pollution, and explains how he hopes to expose the issue to world leaders.

The state of California has given the green light for robotaxis to operate 24/7.

Two autonomous vehicle companies, Waymo and Cruise, currently only offer limited services in the state, but the ruling means they can now operate like other taxi firms Uber and Lyft.
