The annual British Podcast Awards, in association with Acast, is the biggest night in podcasting in the UK and though things will be taking place digitally, the competition is still hotter than ever.

As interest in podcasts grows, now over seven million people listen to podcasts each week in the UK, so has the awards. Now in its fourth year, this year’s nominees were chosen by over 50 judges, including the likes of Annie Mac, Katie Piper and Dustin Lance Black, with last year’s big winner George The Poet overseeing the process as chair of the judges.

Rhianna Dhillon announced the nominees via a special broadcast on the British Podcast Awards website.

The nominations are a mix of established favourites, such as My Dad Wrote a Porno and the QI podcast, No Such Thing As a Fish, as well as newcomers such as Tunnel 29 and last year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup show.

Podcast fans can get in on the action too. Voting for the BBC Sounds’ Listener’s Choice Award is open now. Last year, over 190,000 votes were cast so be sure to nominate your favourite podcast before voting closes on Monday July 6, at britishpodcastawards.com/vote.

Here are the full nominees for this year’s British Podcast Awards.
