Beats has announced a trio of new colours for its popular Beats Fit Pro true wireless earphones.

We’ll call them pink, highlighter yellow and grown-up blue, but Beats calls them Coral Pink, Volt Yellow and Tidal Blue.

They join the black, white, grey and Stone Purple pairs that have been available in the UK since January 2022.

To launch the new Beats Fit Pro, Beats by Dre has teamed up with singer and actress Chloë Bailey

These new tones amp up the boldness dramatically, and were actually outed on Twitter earlier in February 2023 by leaker Jioriku.

A pair of pink, yellow or blue Beats Fit Pro earphones costs £219.99, just like the original sets, and will be available from February 23.

Beats Fit Pro features

The Beats Fit Pro are excellent little sports earphones that get on particularly well with iPhones. There’s no surprise there as Beats is an Apple company and has been since 2014.

They use the Apple H1 chipset, allowing for a super-smooth connection between the earpieces and an iPhone. And, if you misplace them, the Apple Find My app can help you hunt them down.

Apple and Beats don’t crow about specific sales figures for products, but analyst firm Canalys says the Beats Fit Pro were something of a smash hit last year.

It claimed high interest in the Fit Pro and Beats Studio Buds saw demand for Beats headphones rocket by 553 per cent year-on-year, with 2.4 million units shipped. Not bad for a duo of earphones.

Beats Fit Pro vs Apple AirPods Pro

There are some elements to consider if you are weighing up the Beats Studio Buds and the sibling AirPods Pro.

The AirPods Pro have better noise cancellation but the Studio Buds may feel more secure for runners and gym fans. They use little silicone wings that sit under a ridge in your ear cartilage to keep them stable. The Beats pair is a little cheaper too, costing £30 less than the latest £249.99 AirPods Pro.

Care about sound quality? These are both fun-sounding earphones but the AirPods Pro aim for a more neutral tone, while the Beats Fit Pro have a more pronounced bass lift. This can be a big benefit in a workout pair.

The new Beats Fit Pro colours will be available from “authorised resellers” as well as Apple stores, so you may well stumble upon a Volt Yellow pair on the high street in the coming weeks.
