Jeremy Hunt has said his former Tory leadership rival Rory Stewart is destined to go "a lot higher" in government.
Mr Hunt made the comment when asked what job he would offer Mr Stewart if he beats Boris Johnson to become prime minister.
Mr Stewart, who came fifth in the leadership race, is currently Secretary of State for International Development.
Responding to the question during a Twitter Q&A, Mr Hunt said: "He is doing a brilliant job @DFID_UK [the Department for International Development], but I am sure he will go a lot higher than that."
Mr Stewart originally was a contender in the leadership race but went out during the third ballot.
Mr Hunt was answering questions throughout the evening online, responding with photos and GIFs at certain points.
In the online session, he also said he would not revoke Article 50 to stop Brexit.
"The solution to the Brexit divisions is not to reverse Brexit but to deliver a Brexit that works for the 48% who voted remain as well as the 52% who voted leave. And we can," he said.
In another question he added: "Send a tough negotiator to Europe they will actually engage with to get us a deal that can get through parliament."
There were also lighter answers, when he was asked some slightly unusual questions.
Asked whether he would rather fight "one Boris sized duck or 100 duck-sized Borises", he chose the former.
He was also asked if he gets tired of his name being said incorrectly, with his last name often swapped for a profanity in on-air blunders.
He responded saying he thinks those who do it are "all Jeremy Hunts".
He ended the Q&A by sharing a picture of himself eating "some cold pizza".
