Jeremy Corbyn gave the EU's chief Brexit negotiator a shirt from his beloved Arsenal during a visit to Brussels.

The Labour leader presented Michel Barnier with the shirt – which had his name on the back – as well as a signed copy of Labour's manifesto for last month's election.

"Now he's got two things in red - a shirt and a book," Mr Coryn said.

He added that Mr Barnier was "very pleased" with his Arsenal shirt, particularly as he knows French manager Arsene Wenger well.
