Ben Goldsmith had a smile on his face as he stepped out with his new girlfriend Jemima Jones last night for their first public event at Sake No Hana restaurant in St James’s Street.

Goldsmith, 31, who is estranged from his wife Kate Rothschild, and Jones, 25, who works in PR, were supporting Tracy, the Marchioness of Worcester, at a reception for her campaign Food From Farms Not Factories. Tracy also presented her documentary Pig Business, about battery farming curly-tailed porkers. “Being a pig is like spending your life in the economy seat of a 747,” said Ben who, as a Goldsmith heir, may not have turned right on a plane for some time. Tracy’s husband, Bunter Worcester, who needs to be contained in a pen to stop him knocking people over with his exuberant gestures, was there with Evening Standard owner Evgeny Lebedev and Lord and Lady Rothermere.

“We owe a lot to our pink friends,” said Dominic West, who appears in the film with Robert Kennedy Jnr. “Let’s make sure their lives are decent.” The guests then tucked into slabs of organic pork, with tonkatsu dipping sauce.
