What a gent: Ed Miliband is just the ticket

Only last week George Osborne was at the centre of a hullabaloo over having to pay for an upgrade after sitting in first class having only bought a standard class ticket on a train between his constituency in Wilmslow and London. How would Labour leader Ed Miliband fare in a similar situtation?

A traffic warden was recounting to the Londoner the day he ticketed Miliband for overstaying his welcome in a Kensington and Chelsea pay-and-display parking bay. As the Labour leader returned to his car, the warden was securing the ticket to the windscreen.

Did Ed turn the air blue? “No, he was a real gentleman and was extremely polite,” said the warden. “He didn’t lose his temper or give out at all. In fact, after I issued him with the ticket he turned to me and said, ‘Thank you’.”
