Busy times at St Paul’s next week. The Cathedral is planning a huge memorial service next Tuesday at 11am for cricket commentator Christopher Martin-Jenkins. More than 2,500 people have applied for seats, with a private reception being held afterwards in the pavilion at Lord’s. “Please ensure you arrive in good time as it will take a while to seat everyone inside the Cathedral,” writes Mrs R E Pagan, PA to MCC chief executive D M Brewer. The same goes for the Thatcher funeral, we suspect.
