Valentine’s Day is coming, erotic bonkbuster Fifty Shades Darker is on the way to cinemas, so it’s no wonder London is in an amorous mood. Last night The Londoner joined Pamela Anderson, for champagne at Annabel’s in Mayfair, where Coco de Mer launched its new collection with a risqué fashion show.

When The Londoner mentioned to Anderson rumours of her having a dalliance with Julian Assange, who she regularly visits in the Ecuadorian Embassy, she giggled dismissively and changed the subject.

Anderson has long been a fan of Coco de Mer. “When it closed the Melrose Place store I was devastated,” she said, “so when I was in Covent Garden once I saw it had a store there. I went every day and became friends with all the girls. One morning I needed things for a shoot and banged on the doors at 8am. This security guy was the only person there: I told him I was taking a mask and that I would pay for it later.” Did you tell him who you were? “I didn’t have to. I made his day.”

Coco de Mer offers more than fancy underwear, though: Anderson explained that there’s plenty for men. “They do vibrating cock rings,” she said. “I got them for all my friends for Christmas.” But is she on the naughty or nice list?
