Andrea Riseborough and Clive Owen flew the flag for British film in Manhattan last night, attending the Cinema Society New York premiere of IRA thriller Shadow Dancer. Riseborough, who won an Evening Standard Best Actress Award for her role in the film, told me her summer plans did not include a holiday: “I’ll be flying around a bit, actually a lot, then making another film.”

Pippa Middleton was at the film’s London premiere last year, being a pal of its writer, ITV News political editor Tom Bradby. “Pippa told me she liked the film and it left her unsettled,” its director James Marsh told me. From food columnistto film critic?
