Nigel Evans keeps clear of "unsupportive" John Bercow

Looking at reports of Commons deputy Speaker Nigel Evans’s remarks as he stood down from his post, it’s striking that he says he told his fellow deputy Speakers of his decision. But there was no mention of him talking to the Speaker, John Bercow. Evans is understood to feel Bercow has not been wholly supportive as he faced investigation of alleged sex offences.
