Maturity rules at the Audio Drama Awards

June Spencer, 94, who has played Peggy in The Archers since it began in 1951, accepted a lifetime achievement award at last night’s BBC Audio Drama Awards at Broadcasting House. Lenny Henry says there’s nothing wrong with maturity. “Radio drama is now 90 years old, flourishing but still developing,” said the comedian. “Just like the Duke of Edinburgh’s sense of tact.”
