A good woman’s work is seemingly never done. Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani schoolgirl shot by the Taliban, is set to raise an estimated $60,000 to $80,000 for her charity today when a portrait of her by Jonathan Yeo goes up for auction at Christie’s in New York.

“Something sets her apart from some others I’ve painted,” says Yeo, whose portrait of Malala hung in the National Portrait Gallery last year. “The difference is she’s not someone who has spent her life fighting to get to a certain position. She’s had this thrust upon her.”
