IS N8 the new 90210? One of America’s pop princesses may have decamped to Crouch End. The Ham & High reports a rumour that singer Taylor Swift, pictured, is renting a home there, and it’s all for love. But is the leafy area big enough for her entourage?
Swift is said to be dating Joe Alwyn, a young, up-and-coming actor who lives in his family home in the leafy suburb. The pair were introduced by Swift’s friend Emma Stone, who met Alwyn on the set of forthcoming film The Favourite several months ago. Now whispers suggest that Swift has taken a short-term lease on a property in Crouch End and is looking forward to a romantic summer in London.
Swift may wish to look both ways as she leaves the house though: her fondness for north London Brits could lead to some awkward encounters at Budgen’s. She has previously dated actor Tom Hiddleston, of Dartmouth Park, and singer Harry Styles, of Hampstead.
Is north London big enough for the four of them? Or will Taylor have to make a Swift exit?
