In yesterday’s Sunday Times Style magazine, the 60-year-old siren flirted with the idea of going digital to find a date. But Turner won’t be swayed by mere money or good looks.
The actress, who turns down blockbuster roles on principle, says: “If you take the woman out of the script and nothing essentially changes, she’s a prop — so no.” Recalling how Warren Beatty, Michael Douglas and Jack Nicholson competed for her after she played the ultimate femme fatale in Body Heat, she said none stood a chance. “Not even Beatty?” cried her interviewer. “Somebody more beautiful than me — or thinks they are?” drawled Turner, “I don’t need that crap.”
