Gogglebox is cruel television, says Kirstie Allsopp

Is civil war about to break out at Channel 4? Gogglebox, the show that watches people watching TV, unexpectedly won the nation’s heart last year with its depiction of ordinary families being funny and insightful. But it made one enemy along the way — fellow C4 star Kirstie Allsopp.

“I hate it! It’s the worst form of vile, mean, cruel television,” said Allsopp in an interview for the Radio Times. She clearly hasn’t forgiven the cast for being unimpressed by Kirstie’s Crafty Christmas last season.
