Brazilians put on a brave face after their World Cup thrashing this week, hosting an auction at their embassy for the Action for Brazil’s Children Trust. The Art of Futebol charity do attracted guests such as Lady Victoria Hervey, pictured with long jumper Jade Johnson.

Footballs signed by stars such as Pele, Ronaldo and Romario went to auction. Lady Victoria has been busy designing luggage: “I’ve created a range of suitcases based on places I have been,” said Lady V, back from Ibiza.
