Salmon Fishing In The Yemen - European Premiere - Inside Arrival - Emily Blunt, Ewan McGregor

Emily Blunt and Ewan McGregor, who star in Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, were at the Apple Store in Regent Street last night for a Meet the Film-makers event.

Blunt plays the posh representative of a sheikh who wants a salmon river back home, with McGregor as a fishing expert. Speaking at the Apple event, Blunt recalled some casting difficulties while filming, involving McGregor’s dog Sid, who was roaming the set. “I flicked the rod backwards and hooked Sid,” she said. “There was the haunting sound of an animal in pain. That was the only cast I did. Sid’s fine, it was only his fur I caught.”
