Bourne and Bussell step out

Princesses, vampires and former ballerinas were celebrating with choreographer Matthew Bourne and former Royal Ballet dancer and Strictly judge Darcey Bussell at last night’s press night party for his new ballet, Sleeping Beauty, at Sadler’s Wells.

Bourne, who made his name with his all-male Swan Lake, has recast another classic fairy tale as a Gothic romance, complete with a suitor who’s worked out how to stay young and beautiful while his love lies asleep for 100 years.
