While most men might daydream of having a legion of adoring female admirers, not everyone wants to catch the eye of the famous Cumberbitches. The latest issue of British Airways’s High Life magazine, which features Benedict Cumberbatch racing across the frozen lakes of Finland in a Jaguar sports car, has already proved so popular that numerous copies of the free magazine have been disappearing from aeroplanes and reappearing on eBay for as much as £30 plus P&P.

The sudden attention has made a few of the magazine’s staff a little nervous. The Londoner hears that Jamie McPherson, High Life’s art director, has asked to have a photo of him and Cumberbatch kept offline.

“These people will get the idea that I have his phone number, and they’ll come after me. I don’t, I don’t have his number...” Even if he did, the Londoner for one would never dream of asking.
