Bad news, Jon Hamm’s a good guy

The Londoner can’t help but be a little heartbroken that Jon Hamm is swiftly changing his stripes (and ditching his suits). Now that his dark and emotionally twisted Mad Men days are behind him, Hamm — who was at the May Fair Hotel last night for a screening of his uplifting new family film Million Dollar Arm — has been telling everyone how excited he is to play someone “who is at the core a little bit better than most”.

Personally, we’ll miss the chain-smoking, heavy-drinking womaniser we’ve come to love over the past seven years, and it seems we are not alone. Co-stars Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss have said the cast was close to tears when the series wrapped. We’d have been happy to lend Hamm our shoulder to cry on.
