Much bemusement at London City Airport this morning in the departures lounge where Gilbert and George walked in, both in green tweed suits, the taller of the two (George) in a panama, the smaller (Gilbert) in a flat cap.
The art duo, who received honorary doctorates from Plymouth University yesterday, plopped themselves down in the middle of all the boring business executives and took out the Daily Telegraph like a picnic rug, dividing it so that each had a section to read. Fellow travellers thought they were a work of art in themselves.
